Sheriff Jerry Jones told local reporters a Justice Rural Volunteer Fire Department tanker overturned on a curve late Tuesday afternoon as they were responding to a call near Louisburg.

"I don't know how to describe it," said Jones. "It's just sadness. This area is just full of sadness."
One Firefighter Killed, One Injured in Tanker Crash

A firefighter was killed and another was injured Tuesday afternoon after the fire truck they were in overturned in Franklin County. The driver died, and the passenger was being treated at a local hospital.

I lived on John Mann road was
I lived on John Mann road was about 11 years old and saw this tanker leaving the back gate of Lake Royal, they were swervin on the road and I assume playing with the water in the tank. I never said anything about it till I was thinking about the old farm and rememebered this accident, had to look it up.
