Motorcyclist killed in morning crash identified
A man is dead after a motorcycle and flatbed semi collided early Thursday morning. The Allen County Coroner identified the victim as Carl Howard Harz, 49, of Fort Wayne.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver was uninjured, and neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the accident, but since the crash resulted in a fatality, the driver must still be screened as part of protocol.
