Herscu was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run in the death of 18-year-old Nysmuh Imann Taylor of Sylmar, who was left to die after being struck about 2:20 a.m. Sunday as she crossed Moorpark Street near Matilija Avenue.
Authorities are searching for the driver who hit and killed a woman in Sherman Oaks Sunday morning at the corner of Matilija Avenue and Moorpark Street shortly after 2 a.m. The driver then drove back to crash scene and then fled. The vehicle is described as a red or maroon sedan.
