A 6-year-old in Stanislaus County is dead after a tragic crash over the weekend. She is in the Stanislaus County jail facing vehicular manslaughter, felony child abuse and DUI charges. Family members said on a GoFundMe page that Elliana Davila was killed Sunday morning when the car she was riding in rolled over and hit a pole. Elliana Davila attended Denair Elementary Charter Academy. CHP said her mother, Angelica Castellanos-Davila was driving the car around 4 a.m. and was allegedly drunk.

Funeral Held for 6-Year-Old Girl Killed in Crash; Mother Accused of DUI

A 6-year-old girl who was killed when her mother allegedly drove drunk and crashed into a pole in Stanislaus County has been laid to rest. Elliana Davila’s funeral mass took place in Turlock Thursday morning, and dozens of friends and family members paid their respects. The girl died on Albers Road in Modesto, where now a bouquet of wilted white and pink flowers and toys lie. Her mother 27-year-old Angelica Castellanos-Davila is out on bail. “Don’t forget that Jesus is with you. Castellanos-Davila has since been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and willful cruelty to a child resulting in death.
