Man electrocuted, woman seriously injured after car snaps power pole in Putnam accident Sunday

Robert W. Beall, of Hawthorne was eastbound in the Toyota Scion when it went off the road in a left curve and struck a power pole, snapping it over and draping power lines over the car, which overturned onto the driver'€™s side after the impact. Beall apparently got out of the car and was moving away when he came in contact with the power lines. He was deceased at the scene and had electrocution-type injuries, the Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle flipped on its driver'€™s side, which trapped Roberts in the vehicle, according to FHP. Beall was able to get out of the car but was dead on scene when paramedics arrived, according to authorities, with '€œinjuries '€ consistent with electrocution.'€ Roberts was taken to UF Health of Gainesville with serious injuries, according to the release.
