2 dead, 2 injured in Cocoa crash

The crash happened Saturday just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Clearlake Road and Rosetine Street in Cocoa. Two people are dead and two others injured after a crash Brevard County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. A Cocoa police officer attempted to pull over a Nissan Altima driven by 30-year-old Quantarius Miller. Miller didn’t stop the car and continued eastbound on Rosetine Street at a high rate of speed, FHP said. A Toyota RAV4, driven by 64-year-old Paul Turner, was traveling southbound on Clearlake Road approaching the intersection. Miller and his passenger 27-year-old Michelle Jenkins died.

2 dead, 2 hurt in crash after traffic stop

Two people were killed in a crash after fleeing from a traffic stop near Cocoa early Sunday morning. Turner suffered serious injuries, and Abner suffered minor injuries. Officials said after the crash, Miller's car hit a fire hydrant, traffic signal control box and a wall before overturning and ejecting Miller. Miller and Jenkins died in the crash. Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol said the driver, Quantarius Miller, 30, of Cocoa, and a passenger, Michelle Jenkins, 27, of Palm Bay, were traveling east on Rosentine Street when a Cocoa police officer tried to make the stop.
