Motorcyclist Scott Moseley killed in Gwinnett hit and run accident

Gwinnett County police are looking for a driver who witnesses say hit and killed an injured motorcyclist. If anyone has any information to share in this case, please contact the Accident Investigation Unit Tip Line at 678 442-5653. According to police, the accident occurred just before 1 a.m. on Gravel Springs Road at Camp Branch Road in Buford early Sunday. According to police, he was alive and reportedly called 911 when  another car struck and killed him. The driver of the motorcycle, Scott Moseley, 24, was ejected off his bike and was laying in the road with visible injuries.

O'€™Reilly remains in the Gwinnett County Jail with no bond. Police say O'€™Reilly was behind the wheel July 26 when Scott Moseley was struck and killed on Gravel Springs Road. As O'€™Reilly appeared in court at the Gwinnett County Jail, a short distance away, investigators looked over his car.

Gwinnett County Police are seeking the driver who killed a 24-year-old motorcyclist over the weekend on Sunday at around 12:45 a.m., at Gravel Springs and Camp Branch roads near Buford. The victim, Scott Moseley, was found lying in the road. He was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Investigators determined Moseley tried to turn left from Camp Branch Road onto Gravel Springs Road. They believe he likely collided with a raised median and was thrown from his motorcycle, after which a vehicle then ran over Moseley as he was lying in the road. The vehicle's driver did not stop or call 911. Witnesses said Moseley was hit by a sedan.

Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
