One person was killed and another seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision on Monday at the intersection of North Road and Pinehurst Road in Snellville, Georgia. The crash happened at approximately 11:50 a.m. According to the Snellville Police Department, witnesses reported that a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado traveling east on Pinehurst Road ran a red light and collided with a 2009 Honda Civic traveling north on North Road. The adult driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult passenger in the Honda suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Silverado was not injured. The Snellville Police Department's Accident Investigation Unit and Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene, along with the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's Office. Authorities have not released the ages or identities of the driver who died or the injured passenger.
