61-year-old woman dies after being struck by train in Lafayette

A 61-year-old woman died after she was struck by a train Saturday morning in Lafayette, police said. The train accident was reported around 7:30 a.m. at West Third Street, the Lafayette Police Department said. Police said Tolliver was crossing the tracks when she was struck by a westbound train. Angela Tolliver was identified as the woman killed. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but died from her injuries.
