A Kentwood man has died from his injuries following a crash Thursday morning.
A Kentwood man has died from his injuries following a crash Thursday morning. The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on 60th Street and Patterson Avenue in Gaines Township. According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, 73-year-old Thomas Eugene Haight was traveling eastbound on 60th Street in a 2004 Lincoln passenger vehicle when he was hit by a Ford Escape driven by 22-year-old Alyssa Joy Oostdyk, from Caledonia. Police said she was traveling southbound on Patterson Avenue when she collided with Haight’s vehicle. Haight was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where he later died from his injuries. Oostdyk suffered non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors.
