Police looking for driver who struck, killed man in Clinton Township hit-and-run

Police are searching for a driver who struck and killed a man in a hit-and-run accident early Thursday morning in Clinton Township, WDIV reported. The victim, a 38-year-old Clinton Township man, was struck around 2 a.m. on Garfield Road between 17 and 18 mile roads before the driver fled northbound on Garfield. The victim was then struck again by another driver, who stopped at the scene and contacted police, the report said. Garfield Road is currently closed from 17 Mile Road to Terra Bella Street. The man was then struck again by a second driver who stopped at the scene and called police. Police said the man, who is in his 40s, was first struck by a northbound traveling vehicle whose driver kept going after the collision. Police are now searching for the first driver who fled the scene. Thursday on Garfield Road at Terra Bella Street, between 17 Mile and 18 Mile roads in Clinton Township. We're told Perry was hit by two cars. The driver of the first vehicle that struck the victim did not stop. The second driver, who was on her way home from work, stopped at the scene and is fully cooperating with police.
