Motorcyclist, 18, Killed in Rear-End Crash on I-20 Near Bowman Springs Road in Arlington, Texas

An 18-year-old motorcyclist died after a high-speed rear-end collision on westbound Interstate 20 in Arlington, Texas, early Saturday, September 26, 2026. Arlington police said officers responded around 1 a.m. to the westbound lanes of I-20 near Bowman Springs Road in southwest Arlington. According to investigators, the motorcycle struck the rear of a Honda Civic, and the rider was thrown from the motorcycle. When officers arrived, they found the man lying on the shoulder of the highway. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The force of the collision pushed the Honda Civic into construction barriers along the interstate. The driver of the Civic was also taken to an area hospital with injuries that police said are not believed to be life-threatening. Investigators believe the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed at the time of the crash. Authorities have not released the motorcyclist's name, and the Civic driver has not been publicly identified. Arlington police continue to investigate.
