Cadee Conner, 16, killed, 4 injured in possible red-light crash on Mountain View Corridor in Herriman, Utah

Unified Police spokesman Ken Hansen said it appeared a vehicle heading north on Mountain View Corridor may have run a red light before slamming into a pickup truck at 14400 South at 11:19 a.m. The pickup rolled as a result of the collision, which occurred an an estimated speed of at least 55 mph. A female juvenile in the truck was dead at the scene. Four people — two from each vehicle — were taken to local hospitals in serious condition.

Unified police have confirmed a fatal crash happened about 11:30 a.m. The crash happened near 14400 S. Mountain View Highway. There were reportedly also other injuries, according to Unified police.  

A girl, a sophomore at Herriman High who was in the front passenger seat of the pickup, was killed. HERRIMAN — A car with three Herriman High School students was hit by another vehicle that allegedly ran a red light Thursday, killing one of the students, according to Unified police. The child was taken to a local hospital as a precaution but was not believed to be injured, Bell said. The driver of the Mazda, a woman in her 20's, was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Lex Bell said a Mazda drove through the red light and smashed into the passenger side of the truck, causing it roll.

Grief counselors greeted Herriman High School students and faculty Friday, offering solace in their mourning for a sophomore girl who died in a crash with another vehicle that had run a red light. Unified Police spokesman Ken Hansen confirmed that Cadee Conner, 16, was with two of her classmates in a pickup traveling east on Rosecrest Road (14400 South) toward the school just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday when they approached Mountain View Corridor (about 4600 West). That's when a woman in her 20s driving a Mazda passenger car north on the corridor ran a red light and collided with the pickup.
