A witness stated the pedestrian had run into the road and was struck by the tractor-trailer. The pedestrian struck is a 49 year old female, she was transported by the Harrisonburg Rescue Squad to Sentara RMH and was then flown to University of Virginia (UVA) medical center with serious injuries.
