WSP: 8 injured in Hwy. 92 crash near Lake Stevens

A preliminary investigation found that the Electra ran a stop sign and turned left from 75th Street onto eastbound Highway 92 directly in front of the Mountaineer as it was approaching from the west. The driver of the Mountaineer had no time to stop and T-boned the Electra. 

A woman and 5-year-old boy were seriously injured, and six others sustained minor injuries Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 92 at the intersection with 75th Street NE. the crash occurred when a Mercury Mountaineer SUV carrying six people collided with a Hyundai Electra with a mother and her 5-year-old boy inside. The driver of the Electra was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition. Her son was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett with a serious leg injury. All six people in the Mountaineer sustained minor injuries and were transported to Providence.
