Colorado couple die in central Washington plane crash
The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office said Saturday that 70-year-old Eugene Long and 68-year-old Jeanette Long, of Lafayette, Colo., died when their four-seat Lancair ES crashed about 3 p.m. Friday in a rugged, wooded area about 10 miles south of Easton.The plane dropped out of radar and radio contact with air traffic controllers at that time for unknown reasons.
