Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal crash involving a stolen vehicle.

Teenager dies, several hurt after collision on Milwaukee’s south side

The driver of the striking vehicle, a 23-year-old man from Milwaukee suffered a non-life threatening injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment. His 28-year-old female passenger was not hurt and remained at the scene. Two other passengers in the striking vehicle fled on foot after the accident.

The 17-year-old's car was heading west on West Becher St. at 12:40 a.m. when it was hit by a fast-moving vehicle heading north which had failed to stop at a stop sign, according to a news release from the Milwaukee Police Department.

A 17-year-old was killed when the vehicle the teen was driving was hit by a speeding vehicle that did not stop at a stop sign near 31st and Becher around 12:40 am.

Police say the vehicle the victims were in at the time of the accident had recently been stolen. The driver of the striking car, a 23-year-old from Milwaukee, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A woman in his car was not hurt, and two other people in the car took off on foot after the crash. It appears the car was traveling at a high rate of speed.
